THE COMMUNITY GET TOGETHER
Local people nominate the spots and vote on where we eat next. One local restaurant gets a week of love, starting with a kickoff gathering. We show up as regular customers, order what looks good, and put some butts in local seats.
Come to the kickoff or visit during Mob week. Meet the neighbors you’ve been driving past for years, find a new favorite, and help a local place keep doing its thing.
GOOD COMPANY ON YOUR SCHEDULE
Tuesday tacos? Sunday lunch? That place you keep meaning to try? Pick a restaurant and a time, offer a few chairs, or request a seat at someone else’s table. The Table Starter confirms who’s coming, and you meet over a meal.
A handful of people, a little conversation, and a reason to get out of the house any day of the month. An empty chair has never told a good story.
GastroMob costs nothing to join or use. You pay for your own food and tip, just like any other restaurant visit. There’s no required schedule, no minimum number of meals, and no guilt trip if life gets busy. Join a chapter if you want, or just be part of GastroMob. Add a short introduction before joining a public table. Photos and the longer profile questions are optional. Show up when it works for you; if you’ve confirmed a chair and plans change, just let your table know.
We started in northern Indiana and southern Michigan, which is why you’ll see more activity there right now. People from anywhere are welcome. Pick a local place, pull up a chair, and make a new connection.

Our 18th year helping local families at Christmas. Help us raise $6,500 for 10 families and gather needed supplies for the Robert L. Miller Sr. Veteran’s Center in South Bend.
